Story Box – Inner Strength
3 stories for children aged 7+ This age is the youngest we’d recommend for these stories; however, older kids are likely to enjoy them too!
Total running time: 49 minutes
How can we teach our kids to lean into the strength that is within them?
The world will emphasise to your child the importance of outer strength. But there is a strength that comes from within, and that is accessed by acknowledging our vulnerability.
When we face overwhelming challenges, this is the strength that is called for. And we can tap into it when we acknowledge that our own resources are insufficient. It is there when we align to our highest values, when we stay true to our hearts’ deepest longings, and when we act with integrity in the world.
Having an internal map that affirms this inner strength will help our kids find it in themselves, at those key moments when life asks more of them than they thought they had in them. These three stories will help build such a map.
